One Of the very first wristwatches was the Cartier Santos, which was developed in 1904 by Louis Cartier for his friend Alberto Santos-Dumont. As a pilot, Santos was in need of a timepiece that was easier to use while flying than the pocket watches that were available at the time, and the Santos as we know it was created. As one can imagine, the history of the Cartier Santos is storied, boasting many variations as well as decades of design and evolution.
The ref. W20073X8 used Cartier Date that is presented here today pairs a bold 41.3 x 51.1mm stainless steel case with an octagonal rivet bezel and a 1-piece link bracelet with matching rivet links. The dial displays the time in the brand's iconic Roman font as well as central black hands. Many modern amenities also accompany this impressive luxury watch, including a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a depth rating of up to 100 meters.
*All Pre-Owned Cartier watches are guaranteed to be 100% genuine and certified authentic. All watches are shipped to fit the average size wrist (7 1/4" - 7 1/2" for men and 6 1/4" - 6 1/2" for women). Additional links can be purchased if needed.
