Rolex Submariner 16800
The Rolex Submariner 16800 is highly collectible. Not only does it offer the classic Submariner style with a stainless steel Oyster case, Oyster bracelet, Oysterlock clasp, and contrasting black bezel and dial, but it boasts an incredible history. The men's Rolex reference 16800 was one of the first Submariner watches to include a sapphire crystal as well as a unidirectional bezel. Both features increased the Submariners under water functionality immensely. The Submariner 16800 was also one of the first models to offer an increased water resistance of up to 300 meters. Equipped with everything a diver needs to work far below the surface of the ocean, the Submariner is the authority when it comes to professional divers watches.

Watch was in condition as pictured and described. Some major dents and scuffs on the bracelet/end-link were hidden well by the lighting but were very noticeable in person. Overall the watch was in great shape for the age.

I’ve bought multiple modern pieces from Bob’s and had a great experience every time. I’ve been looking to buy a birth year Rolex for awhile now and for me, that’s a late production run 16800. Couldn’t be happier with the watch and for those out there looking for a Sub, you should seriously consider the 16800. It has some great “modern” features, but holds true to a more vintage feel and elegance. Incredibly comfortable on the wrist and will undoubtedly continue to grow in value in my opinion. It’s a can’t miss buy all the way around.
