Kingsley Walcott was a world history teacher for 33 years before he decided to pack up his history books, wish his students well and pursue his love of the world by traveling Europe, East Asia, the Netherlands, Australia and South America with his wife.
Prior to retirement, Kingsley dedicated years of teaching world history at a number of colleges and while he loved to teach, it was his passion for watches and clocks that captured his fascination. He is considered a noted authority on vintage watches and has contributed to a number of books and writings on wristwatches and early time machines. Kingsley received his Bachelors Degree in History and taught for many years throughout western Europe. It was many years later, while pursuing his Master Degree that he met his wife Maryanne.
Kingsley’s wife, Maryanne has her degree in Childhood Psychology and they have two beautiful children. Tara, who lives in Washington and their son, John, who is 28 currently resides in California where he owns and operates a local print shop.
Kingsley and Maryanne have a passion for world travel, but also have a respect and love for antique and modern watches. They collect antique watches, pocket watches, digital watches, and anything of the like.
Kingsley enjoys researching, and writing for various watch club groups and provides great insight when reviewing watch pieces. While he has a strong preference for high grade watches like Patek Philippe and Rolex, he has quite a large collection of Cartier carriage clocks.
