Low Price Guarantee

Bob's Watches is dedicated to always offering the best value to our customers. We will match the price, at the time of purchase, on a Low Price Guarantee product if you find the same item at a lower price at a Designated Major Online Retailer.

Here's how:

  • If you find a qualifying lower price online, call 1-800-494-3708 and direct a customer service agent to the web site with the lower price.
  • On qualifying products, Bob's Watches will then verify the current price to complete the price match.

Purchase price shown is the cash wire price, and any payment method fees such as credit card fees, PayPal fees, Amazon fees, etc, will be added to the transaction total. Prices may be higher if other payment methods are selected. Some exclusions apply. See the list of Designated Major Online Retailers and full details.

Kingsley Walcott

Kingsley Walcott was a world history teacher for 33 years before he decided to pack up his history books, wish his students well and pursue his love of the world by traveling Europe, East Asia, the Netherlands, Australia and South America with his wife.

Prior to retirement, Kingsley dedicated years of teaching world history at a number of colleges and while he loved to teach, it was his passion for watches and clocks that captured his fascination. He is considered a noted authority on vintage watches and has contributed to a number of books and  writings on wristwatches and early time machines.  Kingsley received his Bachelors Degree in History and taught for many years throughout western Europe. It was many years later, while pursuing his Master Degree that he met his wife Maryanne.

Kingsley’s wife, Maryanne has her degree in Childhood Psychology and they have two beautiful children. Tara, who lives in Washington and their son, John, who is 28 currently resides in California where he owns and operates a local print shop.

Kingsley and Maryanne have a passion for world travel, but also have a respect and love for antique and modern watches. They collect antique watches, pocket watches, digital watches, and anything of the like.

Kingsley enjoys researching, and writing for various watch club groups and provides great insight when reviewing watch pieces. While he has a strong preference for high grade watches like Patek Philippe and Rolex, he has quite a large collection of Cartier carriage clocks. Kingsley’s essential watch buying guide comes down to a few basics, which include:

  • Research, research, research! Don’t impulse buy, look into the brand, the craftsmanship, learn before you buy!
  • Don’t lose sight of what you originally were shopping for. It’s easy to be distracted by shiny, new “toys”, so try not to lose focus on what you were originally looking for.
  • If there’s a piece that you absolutely have your heart set on, then go for it. Buying a piece for a collection or for personal use that you absolutely love is better than just trying to add to your collection.
  • Don’t spend outside of your means. Buy pieces that are within your budget. If you are constantly buying pieces outside of your budget you won’t have anything left to build your collection.
  • Use the web! The Internet is a powerful tool, research before you buy and take advantage of other collectors information and reviews.
  • Last but not least, enjoy your passion! Don’t forget that watch collecting is an art and a passion that you should take the time to appreciate.
