The modern Lady-Datejust 179174 honors classic Datejust style while also bringing numerous upgrades to the table. For example, the case measures a traditional 26mm but is now topped with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and features an engraved inner reflector ring. The case is also crafted from Rolex's patented "White Rolesor", which combines 18 karat white gold with 904L-grade Oystersteel. A next-generation calibre 2235 perpetual movement also accompanies the case and features a chronometer rating, 28,800 bph, and a 48-hour power reserve. The date complication, which has accompanied the line since its debut in 1945 is ever-present at the 3-hour marker on the dial. The ref. 179174 also features a classic five-link Jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel, giving it the classic Datejust aesthetic that many preowned Rolex collectors seek.
