Rolex developed the ladies Datejust in 1957, equipping it with a waterproof Oyster case as well as a Perpetual movement with self-winding technology and a date complication, similar to the men's variation that came to market over a decade prior. The ladies variation boasts a smaller size and weight to better accommodate a woman's wrist via a 26mm Oyster case and a sleeker Jubilee bracelet. The pre-owned Rolex 6516 that is presented here today is an earlier model that was produced sometime in the late 1960s and boasts an acrylic crystal over the dial, 14 karat yellow gold, a bracelet with fold-over links and a Fliplock clasp, and a striking black dial topped with yellow gold indices, central hands, and Tritium luminous material in a dark patina.

Excellent condition overall. It was listed in excellent condition, but my assumption was that it was relative to age. Despite being almost 50 years old case had almost no markings and bracelet only slight stretch. Great little watch.
