Vintage Rolex Submariner 1680 18k Gold
This late model Rolex Submariner reference 1680 is in 18 karat yellow gold and an absolutely stunning piece. The 1680 is highly desirable among vintage Rolex collectors. This particular watch is in stunning condition with minimal stretch. Its color change dial has aged beautifully into a tropical violet color. It has some very light spotting, but is in otherwise very good condition. The 1680 was the first model to introduce the date wheel to the Submariner line and is very recognizable by its unique raised crystal which is flat rather than domed like other Submariner models.
This Vintage Rolex has a 1575 caliber movement and a chronometer feet before meter depth rating of 600ft=200m. It comes with the original open 6 and 9 date disk. This 1680 Submariner's tritium luminous hands and nipple dial make this gorgeous watch a real collectors piece.
