The vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust is characterized by a stunning silver Pie Pan dial, an older-style case, a thicker acrylic crystal, and a calibre 3035 Perpetual movement. The ref. 1601 that you see here today is a handsome two-tone Datejust that was bought sometime in the mid-1960s. Its feature set includes a resilient stainless steel case with a screw-down crown, a complementary leather strap bracelet, and a stunning yellow gold display with older-style indices and hands. The ref. 1601 maintains a very attractive price tag of just under $3k, making this vintage wristwatch an attractive choice for collectors of all budgets.

I really enjoyed the east of which Bob's Watches made the buying experience. I have been looking for this particular Rolex for some time. The moment I saw that they had what I was looking for, I purchased it, and with the wire transfer, it was at my door the next morning.
Product was as advertised.
The whole process was seamless and as promised. The watch was in perfect condition and the presentation and packaging was outstanding. The Affirm process was seamless as well. I would definitely recommend Bob's Watches and do business with them again.
Stunning good looks. The slate dial is a bit more understated than the silver, gold, or black datejust dials, which I feel is important. The dial color pairs well with the bracelet or any brown or black leather straps.
Serial Number 2801936 is the one that I own. It is a complete set with box and papers. Unlike the version, shown in the photo, I have no luminescent hands. Great timepiece and has increased in value from the $255 Price Tag from June 28,1972. P.S. Not For Sale.
