This used Rolex watch is in overall excellent pre-owned condition with slight stretch in the bracelet consistent with age.
By Paul Altieri
The vintage Rolex Datejust 1601 is powered by a calibre 1570 self-winding movement, which is among the very first movements produced entirely in-house. The calibre 1570 is also one of the first in-house movements to boast the distinction of a Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified, aka COSC. The 1570 also beats at a rate of 19,800 bph and boasts an automatically changing date mechanism. The ref. 1601 that you see here today utilizes many features that are characteristic of an older preowned Rolex, such as an acrylic crystal, 14 karat yellow gold, a Pie-Pan dial, and an American oval link Jubilee bracelet.
*All Pre-Owned Rolex watches are guaranteed to be 100% genuine and certified authentic. All watches are shipped to fit the average size wrist (7 1/4" - 7 1/2" for men and 6 1/4" - 6 1/2" for women). Additional links can be purchased if needed.
Product was as advertised.
The whole process was seamless and as promised. The watch was in perfect condition and the presentation and packaging was outstanding. The Affirm process was seamless as well. I would definitely recommend Bob's Watches and do business with them again.
Stunning good looks. The slate dial is a bit more understated than the silver, gold, or black datejust dials, which I feel is important. The dial color pairs well with the bracelet or any brown or black leather straps.
Serial Number 2801936 is the one that I own. It is a complete set with box and papers. Unlike the version, shown in the photo, I have no luminescent hands. Great timepiece and has increased in value from the $255 Price Tag from June 28,1972. P.S. Not For Sale.
