Rolex Vintage Submariner 5512
The Rolex Submariner is truly an iconic timepiece. Over its 60-year history it has remained true to its original design. While there have been minor modifications, the Submariner produced today looks incredibly similar today as it did when first introduced in the early 1950’’s. Important changes were introduced when Rolex released the reference 5512 in 1959. The case was slightly enlarged from earlier models, and the Submariner’s case now featured the iconic crown guards, adding a sturdy feel to the watch while also serving a functional role to protect the crown from accidental damage.
This watch is offered with a clean, matte, chronometer-certified, black dial with luminous markers and matching hands a nice bright white. The faded blue/grey bezel gives the watch a highly attractive appearance. The newer 93150 oyster bracelet has wear to it as well adding nice to the look of this vintage piece. The case is nice and strong with bevels visible and clear. Priced well, this sports timepiece will be a nice addition to any collection.
