Rolex Red Submariner 1680 Offered at Bob’s Auction
Bob’s Watches first ever auction ended today after a two week bidding window came to an end. More than 120 people registered for the auction, which was by invitation only. The lucky few were able to place bids on a vintage Rolex red letter Submariner 1680 Mark IV Dial circa 1970. Needless to say this watch needed no introduction for the many collectors and private dealers who watched closely.
The present reference 1680 is an amazing example of Rolex’s earlier production, featuring the matte dial with creamy markers and matching hands. It appeals thanks to its clean and well-preserved original condition and the attractive aged patina markers. An image of the auctioned watch can be viewed to the right.
Bob’s Watches will be offering a select vintage watch from Bob’s private collection in about a week so please stay tuned for more exciting auctions. Here is a sneak peak at the next timepiece that will be offered.
