LAmicroLUX Celebrates Independent Watch Brands in Los Angeles

April 1, 2019

BY Paul Altieri

Mega watch shows like Baselworld, SIHH, and Watches & Wonders typically benefit mega watch brands. However, there’s a burgeoning segment of the timepiece market that is comprised of independent horology houses and micro watch brands. And because these types of companies often get overshadowed by the luxury watch brands that exhibit at the larger shows, it’s only natural that they would want to come together in a show dedicated to the smaller players. Case in point is the LAmicroLUX event scheduled to take place April 6-7, 2019 in Los Angeles.

LAmicroLUX Will Feature 16 Boutique Watch Brands

Taking place at the Olympic Collection Banquet & Conference Center in Los Angeles, LAmicroLUX will have over a dozen boutique watch brands onsite for visitors to enjoy, ranging from Perrelet to Klokers, to Vertex and others. These exhibitors will not only showcase and sell their current watch collections, but the event also promises to feature a few new watch releases as well.

Southern California is shaping out to be a particularly good place for watch enthusiasts this year, with both this show and WatchTime Los Angeles 2019 scheduled to take place in downtown Los Angeles. Additionally, given the size of the exhibitors that will be at LAmicroLUX, there is a strong chance that attendees will be able to get a much more personal and hands-on experience than what one will find at a larger trade show like Baselworld or SIHH.

Whether you’re new to the world of microbrands and independent watch companies, or a seasoned collector of these types of small-batch wristwatches, LAmicroLUX will have plenty of products to peruse and industry insiders to speak to.
