New Omega Watches 2022 – Overview and First Look

Paul Altieri

Omega has announced its lineup of new watches for 2022, and as you would expect from one of the world’s most famous luxury timepiece manufacturers, the brand has an extensive range of novelties that will be joining the catalog this year. From dive watches to dress models and everything in between, here’s your first look at the new Omega watches for 2022.

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep

Probably the biggest news from Omega this year is the new Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep. Back in 2019, Omega sent a prototype version of the watch to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, and now a production version of the Ultra Deep is available to the public with an incredible 6,000 meters water resistance.

The new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep watches are available in either titanium or a proprietary alloy called “O-MEGASTEEL,” which is both harder and more resilient than traditional stainless steel. Additionally, while the titanium model is essentially a downsized version of the original prototype, the various O-MEGASTEEL models offer a much more traditional overall package and are available on either rubber straps or matching metal bracelets.

New Omega Speedmaster ’57 Watches

The new generation of the Omega Speedmaster ’57 offers a 40.5mm case along with a manual-wind movement to create a more compact version of the brand’s vintage-inspired chronograph. Despite its retro design elements, the new Omega Speedmaster ’57 is a thoroughly modern watch inside and out, and it features sapphire crystals and a METAS-certified Master Chronometer movement.

Omega Aqua Terra Watches with Colorful Dials

Colorful watches are experiencing a surge in popularity, and Omega has unveiled new Seamaster Aqua Terra models in both 34mm and 38mm that have brightly colored dials. These new colorful Aqua Terra dials swap the model’s signature horizontal “teak” pattern for a metallic sunburst finish to create a fresh take on one of Omega’s most versatile models.

Green Omega Seamaster Diver 300M

Joining the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M lineup for 2022 is a green version of the brand’s signature dive watch. The new model simply represents a new color option that will be added to the existing collection, with its key distinguishing features being a green ceramic “wave” dial and matching ceramic bezel.

Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch in Moonshine Gold

The current generation of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch first debuted at the beginning of last year, and a new version in Moonshine Gold has been added to the lineup for 2022. Available with either green or gold dials, these new Speedmaster models are unapologetically luxurious and offer a unique twist on one of Omega’s most celebrated designs.

New Omega Constellation Watches

Omega has also introduced new Constellation watches for 2022 in 28mm, 29mm, and 41mm case sizes. The new 41mm models feature ceramic bezels and leather straps, while the 28mm models have stainless steel cases and bracelets with brightly colored sunburst dials. The new 29mm Omega Constellation watches showcase natural aventurine stone dials in either red, blue, or green and include matching leather straps for a vibrant and elevated aesthetic.
