The deluxe diving watch
The Rolex Submariner 116613 with diamonds is an expression of ultimate luxury in the form of a sports watch. Its 40mm Oyster case and three-link Oyster bracelet are meticulously crafted in a sublime mix of both 18k yellow gold and stainless steel for that characteristic Rolesor look from Rolex.
Rolex Submariner 116613 with Diamonds can come in either blue or black.
The Rolex Submariner 116613
First appearing in 2009, the two-toned Rolex Submariner 116613 is presented with either a blue dial and blue bezel version or a black dial and black bezel version and the diamond models boast eight of the white precious gems as hour markers. Since the Rolex 116613 sports the Maxi dial – with larger hands and hour-markers – the diamonds on the dials are also larger than previous Submariner references with the diamond Serti dials. The diamond dial versions of the Submariner 116613 are no longer in production as they were discontinued in 2012, while the standard dial versions of the Rolex Submariner ref. 116613 are still part of the current brand catalog.

The unidirectional rotating diver’s bezels on the Submariner 116613 are outfitted with a scratch and fade resistant ceramic insert — labeled as Cerachrom by Rolex — and marked by numerals and graduations that are coated in gold. As legibility is key with any diving watch, the dial of the Sub is equipped with luminous hands and luminous indexes at 3, 6, and 9 that emits a blue glow while in the dark for up to eight hours. And since the ref. 116613 is Submariner date model, the date window is positioned at 3 o’clock and magnified by the Cyclops lens affixed onto the sapphire crystal.
Beating at the core of the golden Submariner 116613 with diamonds is the Superlative Chronometer Certified Rolex Caliber 3135 with a Parachrom hairspring for increased resilience to shocks and temperature swings. The watch guarantees the wearer a maximum variation of -2/+2 seconds a day for a supremely precise mechanical timepiece.

The Oyster bracelet, constructed with stainless steel outer links and 18k yellow gold inner links, is furnished with both the Oysterlock clasp to keep the Sub safely in place and the Glidelock system to allow the extension of the bracelet should the watch need to be worn over a diving suit.

It could be argued that a two-toned luxury watch studded with diamonds doesn’t really complement a diving suit and isn’t actually expected to accompany anyone on a dive, but if it were to, it would perform perfectly. Just like its less lavish counterparts, the Submariner 11613 with diamonds is perfectly capable of plunging down to 1000 feet (330 meters) thanks to its airtight Oyster case, screw-down crown, and screw-down case back. Whether worn in a boardroom, golf course, or while exploring the deep, the blue Rolex Sub 116613 with diamond dial does not shy away from making a bold statement.
