Today we\u2019ll be looking at a limited edition equipped with a perpetual calendar complication: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bobswatches.com\/iwc-1.html\">IWC<\/a> Big Pilot&#8217;s Watch Perpetual Calendar Simonetta Orsini \u201cBuenos Aires.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_23554\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23554\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-23554 size-full\" title=\"IWC Big Pilot Buenos Aires\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bobswatches.com\/rolex-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/5D3_1374-2-2-e1544647825349.jpg\" alt=\"IWC Big Pilot Buenos Aires\" width=\"1000\" height=\"618\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23554\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The IWC Big Pilot Buenos Aires is a limited edition with only 40 available pieces.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><b>Design:<\/b> <b>IWC Big Pilot&#8217;s Watch Perpetual Calendar \u201cBuenos Aires\u201d<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Living up to its \u201cBig Pilot\u2019\u201d name, the stainless steel case of the IWC Big Pilot&#8217;s Watch Perpetual Calendar \u201cBuenos Aires\u201d<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ref. IW502619 measures a very large 46 mm in diameter, complete with the oversized 11 mm fluted winding crown. This rendition is a completely different take with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bobswatches.com\/rolex-blog\/watch-review\/the-anytime-wingman-iwc-pilots-watch-chronograph-top-gun-miramar.html\">IWC&#8217;s Miramar<\/a>, a vintage-inspired watch. It\u2019s also a thick timepiece with a height that spans 16 mm tall. Despite its immense size, this Big Pilot\u2019s Watch wears comfortably thanks in part to the curved lugs that hug the wrist. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Limited to just 40 pieces the watch includes a \u201cBuenos Aires\u201d engraving on the rotor signaling that it was exclusively made to be sold by Simonetta Orsini in Argentina. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The steel case is fitted with a black leather strap, which is folded and secured with large steel rivets, adding to the robust style of the watch. To keep the IWC Big Pilot&#8217;s Watch Perpetual Calendar \u201cBuenos Aires\u201d<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ref. IW502619 secure on the wrist, the leather band includes a stainless steel deployant clasp. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the center of the black dial with white markings and pops of blue accents are the large and luminescent sword-style hour and minute hands. The size of the watch allows for an expansive dial, which packs plenty of information for the wearer. Not only does the IWC Big Pilot\u2019s Watch ref. IW502619 feature day, date, month, year, and moonphase indicators, but also, as a perpetual calendar, these functions automatically adjust until 2100\u2014an impressive feat for a mechanical movement!
