We wore a Submersible 42 (PAM00683) from our own inventory for two weeks as the reference watch for this review. On paper, 42mm sounds modest for Panerai<\/a>. In practice, the cushion case and broad bezel wear closer to a standard 44mm diver, a point experts and online watch communities raise often. Inside is Panerai’s in-house P.900 automatic movement<\/a> with a three-day power reserve. Set the watch down on Friday and it is still running Monday morning. Over two weeks, our example kept time within seconds per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water resistance is rated to 300 meters, which covers anything short of saturation diving. Combined with a sapphire crystal, the watch handles daily life without special care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
