The classic and sophisticated style of the Datejust watch is still relevant, even decades after it was introduced in 1945. This vintage reference 1601 is a testament to that timeless style with an attractive two-tone design of resilient stainless steel and yellow gold. The 5-piece link Jubilee bracelet and yellow gold fluted bezel are highly sought after features on Rolex dress watches and can still be found on vintage and contemporary Datejusts alike. The 36mm waterproof Oyster case is topped with a champagne linen dial with yellow gold index hour markers, sweeping hands, and the infamous automatically changing date aperture at the 3-hour marker. Within the case rests Rolex's caliber 1570 self-winding movement for a reliable reading.

The whole process was seamless and as promised. The watch was in perfect condition and the presentation and packaging was outstanding. The Affirm process was seamless as well. I would definitely recommend Bob's Watches and do business with them again.
Stunning good looks. The slate dial is a bit more understated than the silver, gold, or black datejust dials, which I feel is important. The dial color pairs well with the bracelet or any brown or black leather straps.
Serial Number 2801936 is the one that I own. It is a complete set with box and papers. Unlike the version, shown in the photo, I have no luminescent hands. Great timepiece and has increased in value from the $255 Price Tag from June 28,1972. P.S. Not For Sale.
