Vintage Tudor Submariner - Original Bevels!
The term Snowflake Submariner can draw some quizzical looks and raised eyebrows if you mention that in conversation. It takes a real horological enthusiast to know that you are referring to a Tudor Submariner. Made by Tudor with special “snow flake” pattern to the hands, this design sets it apart from a Rolex submariner and is quite collectible in today’s market. In addition to that, Tudor also made it available in a blue dial and bezel version which many people wish Rolex would do in their line.
This black dial and black bezel Tudor submariner Is truly a beautiful watch. Manufactured in 1982 this appears to be an unpolished case with its original bevels still visible. You don’t find too many watches like that anymore! The dial has a beautiful clean look with the hour markers having a nice patina to them. The hour hand has been color matched to the dial and the minute and second hands still have their original luminous material. The 9315 Fold-over link, oyster bracelet is a robust and sturdy bracelet with slight stretch. The crystal has been re-profiled to the domed acrylic more common to the 5513 model but does look great on this watch.
