Rolex Datejust 16233

The Datejust has made its mark on Rolex history. Not only was it the first automatically winding watch to offer a jump date on its dial, but the Datejust has transcended time and fashion and remains just as relevant today as it was over 7 decades ago. The Datejust owes its popularity in part to its presence in film, appearing on the wrists of several actors on screen, such as Christian Bale in American Psycho and Paul Newman in The Color of Money. The particular reference 16233 that we have here today features a similar two-tone finish as the watches worn in both movies and also offers a 36mm waterproof Oyster case and five-link Jubilee bracelet secured by a Fliplock clasp. A matching champagne dial displays the time via yellow gold index hour markers topped with lume dots and central sweeping hands filled with lume.
