By Paul Altieri,
Following the success of the original GMT-Master reference 6542 in 1954, Rolex introduced a successor to the reference, the 1675. The GMT 1675 remained in production until 1980, replacing the early examples without crown guards. With the growth of transatlantic flights, Rolex teamed up with Pan American Airways to help their pilots fight the effects of jet lag while travelling through different time zones.
The present 1675 is fitted with a stunning matte black dial. Its luminous hour markers have aged to a beautiful cream color, perfectly matching its hands. The bezel retains a deep shade of blue and red, and the case is well preserved, with thick, fully defined lugs. The Oyster bracelet is in very good condition with light stretch, consistent for its age. Accompanied by its original guarantee, it is a superb example of an early GMT-Master for the connoisseur.
*All Pre-Owned Rolex watches are guaranteed to be 100% genuine and certifed authentic. All watches are shipped to fit the average size wrist (7 1/4" - 7 1/2" for men and 6 1/4" - 6 1/2" for women). Additional links can be purchased if needed.
The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.

I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
