Cartier Roadster
The Cartier Roadster hit the market in 2001, joining the famous watchmaker's impressive lineup of uniquely-shaped watches. It's timeless and iconic, and we have a remarkable example for sale here today in yellow gold. Features include a striking barrel-shaped case, supple leather bracelet, silver dial decorated with Roman numeral hour markers, a date display at 3 o'clock, and a conical crown. Keen-eyed collectors have spotted several design elements that resemble car parts, hence the name "Roadster." For example, the cyclops magnifier over the date looks like a car windshield, and the conical crown resembles a car tire or radiator.
