The gold Rolex Date ref. 1503 that is presented here today was produced sometime in the late 1970s and features an aesthetic that is undeniably vintage. The case is an older-style Oyster case with sleeker lugs and a thicker acrylic crystal over the dial. The yellow gold finish is paired with a matching champagne dial, which displays the time via yellow gold index hour markers and central hands filled with creamy luminous material. As a Date reference, the automatically changing date display is located at the 3-hour marker and a perpetual movement beats within the waterproof Oyster case.
