Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 16523 (1987) is a classic Rolex time and date dress watch at its core, complete with a 36mm waterproof Oyster case, self-winding mechanical movement, and jump date mechanism at 3 o'clock. However, unlike most Datejust models with fixed bezels, it also sports a 60-minute rotatable bezel. What's also particularly interesting about this model is that it hit the market in the early 1950s, well before other Rolex tool watches - such as the Submariner and GMT Master - making it one of the first Rolexes with a rotatable bezel. Since then, the collection has picked up several charming nicknames, including the "Rolex Turn-O-Graph" and "Rolex Thunderbird."
