Pre owned Rolex Datejust "Thunderbird" 116264
The men's Datejust Turn-o-Graph is the original Rolex tool watch. The model came to market in the early 1950s and was the first serially-produced wristwatch in the Rolex catalog to boast a rotatable timing bezel. A few years after the Turn-o-Graph's debut, other sports watch giants were released, such as the Submariner and GMT Master. The ref. 116264 is a contemporary example of the original tool watch that pairs a classic Datejust style with modern and sporty elements. The case and bracelet are presented in satin and polished 904L stainless steel. The case itself boasts slightly more rounded and polished lugs and features a sharply-fluted 18 karat white gold 60-minute timing bezel and an attractive matte black dial topped with raised indices, central hands, and a red sweeping seconds hand, "Turn-o-Graph" logo, and date wheel.
