The Daytona was powered by several movements in its early history. The first models relied on a manual-winding movement to power their watches. Then came the first automatic Daytona movement via the Zenith El Primero cal. 4030 movement. This edition of the movement was developed by Zenith and then modified in-house. The cal. 4130 would replace the Zenith movement in 2000, making Zenith Daytonas highly prized collector's item among used Rolex collectors. The ref. 16528 is a very desirable all gold edition of the watch that also features a classy white dial with luminous plots and gold accents. The Tachymeter bezel is calibrated up to 400 kilometers, and the movement includes chronograph functions, making it ideal for both motorsport and leisurewear.
