Rolex GMT-Master II ref 116718
BaselWorld 2005 saw the debut of the first 6-digit GMT Master II. While many aspects of the original model from the 1980's remain, such as the independent 24-hour hand, the dial topped with lume, and the 24-hour bezel, this men's Rolex 116718 is unlike any other GMT Master reference that was previously produced. The case maintains a 40mm measurement, however, is now of the Super Case variety. Which means it offers a larger presence on the wrist via broader, squared-off lugs and a Maxi dial with larger hour markers and hands. The case also features a Cerachrom bezel with a ceramic insert, a feature that is highly sought-after by collectors. There are many variations of the used Rolex GMT Master to choose from, but none compare to the bold style of the ref. 116718.
