At 44mm in diameter, the Yacht-Master II is one of the largest sports models in the Rolex catalog. The heft of the case accommodates a complex calibre 4161 movement, which is built to include a programmable flyback regatta timer, a seconds sub-counter, and central hour, minute, and seconds hands. Each hour marker is filled with Chromalight lume for a highly visible glow and is set in rose gold surrounds. The case, Oyster bracelet, and Oysterlock clasp are crafted from Rolex's patented Everose Rolesor, a medium-weight combination of Oystersteel and 18 karat pink gold. Rolex pairs a crisp, white dial with red accents with a blue Cerachrom bezel insert, creating a nautical style that mirrors the sophisticated world of professional yachting.
