Vintage Rolex Date 1505
While it isn't hard to see why some collectors prefer newer watches with the latest in watchmaking technology and a shiny, new feature set, there is also a significant following for vintage timepieces. Older Rolex watches offer character and history that newer references simply can't touch and the ref. 1505 is an excellent example of that. Its feature set includes an older-style 34mm Oyster case with nicely tapered lugs, a 14 karat yellow gold engine-turned bezel, and a nicely aged silver dial topped with gold indices and hands and lume in a creamy patina. The case wears on a Jubilee bracelet with American Oval links and a Fliplock clasp, giving it the vintage aesthetic that many preowned Rolex collectors seek.
