Vintage Watch Condition Examination:
This Rolex Submariner is in good vintage condition with surface wear throughout consistent with age. The case is strong with scratches, marks, and some nicks; it has been polished. The bezel insert is a later service replacement and in overall good condition with signs of wear and scratches. The dial is a later service replacement with luminova lume so it will still glow and its in great condition. The hands are also later luminova service replacements and have developed some patina. The solid link service bracelet is in overall good condition with wear and stretch between the links. The crystal has some scratches and nicks along the edge.
Description: Rolex Submariner 1680
It was very common for Rolex to change parts and update watches when they come in for service and that is exactly what happened here. This watch was born with a white 1680 dial, so the original would have looked pretty similar to this service one, especially from afar. This watch features a luminova dial even though this dial has "Swiss -T < 25" written at the bottom. This is something we have seen before and known with other references too. Since this has Luminova dial and hands it will still glow adding that perfect blend of modern amenities to this vintage watch. These all serviced up examples offer a great value and are ideal for daily wearers.
