pre owned Rolex Thunderbird Datejust 1625
The Datejust "Thunderbird" Turn-o-Graph came to market in 1953 and was the first timepiece in the Rolex catalog to feature a rotating timing bezel. The ref. 1625 was released a few years later in 1959 and continued production until the mid-1970s. A two-tone example of the collection, the ref. 1625 presents the case and bracelet in stainless steel and yellow gold. The bezel is also notably made from yellow gold and features a 60-minute scale and a textured finish.
The Rolex 1625 for sale here today is in excellent condition and boasts an older-style case, an American Oval-link Jubilee bracelet, and a matching champagne "Pie Pan" dial topped with yellow gold indices and hands and a luminous plots in a deep patina.
