Pre-owned Rolex Day Date ref 118239 (2003 - 2005) is a rare variant of the modern Rolex Presidential that displays the time on a rich brown dial, also known in many watch collecting circles as a "Rolex Havana dial" after its resemblance to the rich brown tones in a Cuban cigar. It has that signature sunburst texture we're used to seeing from the Crown, as well as a full set of silvered Roman numeral hour markers and matching, lume-free hands. It's interesting to note that current production models (ref. 118239 was replaced by ref. 128239 around 2019) alternate the Roman numerals with stick hour markers, adding yet another layer of collectability to the example you see here. It's cased entirely in 18k white gold and features the collection's ultra-exclusive President bracelet with rounded, three-piece links and a hidden Crownclasp. At the heart of the watch beats the caliber 3155 with a Double Quickset for the day and date.
