Rolex Submariner Green Anniversary Model 16610V - 'Kermit'
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner, Rolex debuted the green bezel reference 16610. Also referred to as the "Kermit" the reference 16610 is characterized by a distinct bezel in Rolex's signature green. The Kermit is also credited with introducing the Submariner line to the maxi dial, which boasts larger, more legible hour markers and wider hands. Of course, as a diver's watch, this particular men's sports watch can withstand the pressures of depths of up to 1,000 feet, allowing professional divers to keep time far below the surface of the sea. A unidirectional timing bezel is safe and easy to read, making measuring decompression stops an easy feat. This ref. 16610 marks a significant milestone in Rolex history, making it an intriguing addition to any watch box.
