Pre-owned Rolex SpeedKing ref 6430 (1966). Although 29mm is considered quite small by today's standards for a men's watch, it was quite common when the Speedking was originally developed and will appeal to modern men and women with a deep appreciation for horology. As the story goes, the collection earns its adventurous name after Sir Malcolm Campbell, a known Rolex wearer, and 9-time world land speed record holder during the 1920s and 1930s. For many, it was something of an innovation of its time because it offered the shock-resistance professional drivers and prospective land-speed breakers so desperately needed in the years before it was produced. Today, this underrated vintage Rolex is a gem for anyone looking for an entry-level vintage Rolex with provenance and character. Features include a riveted bracelet, precision hand-wound movement, and a silver dial decorated with Tritium in a deep, golden hue.
