During the height of the Quartz crises in the 1970's, Rolex produced their own line of luxury watches equipped with quartz movements produced completely in-house. The ref. 17000 is an all-steel variant of the OysterQuartz Datejust, offering a durable finish for all-day wear. Similar to other references from the brand's Datejust line, the case measures a standard 36mm and is waterproof up to 100 meters, only now the lugs and matching bracelet create a distinct and angular style that is reminiscent of the era in which it debuted.
