The Rolex GMT-Master reference 1675 is prized by collectors for its beauty, its "Pepsi" blue and red bezel, and the history of the watch dating back to Pan-Am pilots. The present watch is a beautiful example of an early reference 1675, featuring a beautifully-faded "fat font" bezel that is correct and original from the period of its circa 1961 production. The inside of the case back states that the case was made in "II.61", indicating that the case was made in the second quarter of 1961, with the watch assembled after that. This case has "Pointed Crown Guards" (or "PCG") that are on either side of the crown. PCG GMT-Master watches are highly prized by collectors as only the earliest examples of the reference 1675 had these before Rolex switched to rounded crown guards to protect the crown from being bumped on hard surfaces or objects. A final mystery regarding this watch is that the full serial number is not only found on the outside of the case, but on the inside of the case back. The serial number being on the inside of the case back often indicates that the watch was specially ordered by a government / military or company. This is an additional detail that makes the watch even more appealing.

Well represented watch in excellent condition. Super fast shipping. My second purchase from Bobs but not my last. Their watches seem to be in better condition than many of the others I’ve seen online.
The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.
Quick e-mail responses, systematic
I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
