First introduced in 1945 as the world’s first self-winding wristwatch with an automatically changing date, the Datejust has evolved without losing its core identity. This modern example has a more understated aesthetic with a smooth bezel and an Oyster bracelet. The black dial is crisp and legible, decorated here with Chromalight hour markers that emit a long-lasting blue glow in low light. Inside is the current caliber 3235 with a longer 70-hour power reserve, compared to the previous caliber 3135 with a 48-hour power reserve. At 36mm, it wears true to the original proportions while still feeling relevant today. It’s a straightforward, everyday Rolex. It's easy to wear, functional, and as timeless as the collection itself.
