This Vintage Rolex watch is in overall excellent condition with light wear to the case, bezel, and dial, with an observable scratch to the crystal from 2 to 3 o'clock.

The Oyster Perpetual is an integral piece of Rolex history. It entered the market in the 1950s and has since become a pillar of the Rolex catalog. Its feature set always includes a waterproof Oyster case and a time-only Perpetual movement with self-winding. The ref. 1002 for sale here today is an early model Oyster Perpetual that was produced some time in the early 1960s. Its feature set is distinctively vintage and is widely sought-after by many collectors in-the-know. The case is presented in stainless steel and wears on a complimentary leather strap bracelet. The silver dial is the most notable feature of this ref. 1002 and includes creamy Tritium luminous plots, older-style indices, tapered arrowhead hands, and a blue second hand, the latter of which is a staple of many vintage Rolexes.

The watch arrived today, took a little longer since I am overseas. It is completely as described, even though the watch is "vintage", the condition is beautiful. This is my first Rolex, of which I expect to purchase again in the future.
