Tudor Tiger Heritage 79270
In 1995, Tudor introduced a new generation of chronographs with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals, self-winding movements, and a refined design. The Tudor Price "Tiger" ref. 79270 is among the newer generation of chronographs produced under the line that boasts a silver dial set with contrasting registers, a black bezel, and a case with softer, more rounded edges. Each of these characteristics distinguish the 79200 series apart from its predecessors, which featured a plexiglass Tachymeter insert and crystal over the dial and a case with sharper lines. Models produced after 1998, such as the ref. 79270 for sale here also leave out the "Oyster" distinction on the dial, labeling the model as only "Tudor Prince Date". The preowned Tudor ref. 79270 also displays the name "Tiger" in bright red font just above the central hands as a tribute to golfer Tiger Woods.
