Pre-owned/unworn Breitling Chronomat B01 42 ref AB0134101B1A1 is a modern version of one of Breitling’s most important watches. The Chronomat first showed up in the early 1980s, at a time when quartz was taking over, and Breitling went the other direction. Bold case, mechanical chronograph, and a design that stood out immediately. It worked, and the model has stuck around ever since. This one stays true to that formula. The 42mm steel case has robust wrist presence, and the rider tab bezel is instantly recognizable. The black panda dial has a clean chronograph layout and just enough contrast to make everything easy to read at a glance. It’s outfitted on the Rouleaux bracelet, which gives it a different feel than your typical sport watch. More rounded, more fluid, and very comfortable once it’s on. Inside is the in-house Breitling caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronograph movement with a strong 70-hour power reserve.
