Tom Cruise Rolex Watch Collection: Is He Rolex’s Next Ambassador?

Paul Altieri

From some of his earliest big-screen roles, Tom Cruise has had an affinity for Rolex. Initially serving as status indicators, over the years his characters sported everything from an Air King Ref. 5700 to a Day-Date “President” Ref. 18238. Lately however Cruise has really stepped up his Rolex game, and he has also been spotted with Rolex’s top brass, leading to rumors he might become the next high-profile Rolex “testimonee.”

Signing Cruise, one of the world’s highest-paid actors, certainly wouldn’t come cheap.
However, after declining to renew its Formula 1 sponsorship, a move many are still questioning, Rolex certainly has marketing budget to spend. And Cruise was spotted alongside Rolex CEO Jean-Frédéric Dufour and Rolex Director of Communications Arnaud Boetsch in the Rolex box at Wimbledon in 2024, looking very friendly indeed.

Here’s a look at the Top Gun star’s Rolex collection in depth:

Rolex Datejust 126300 and Day-Date 228239

Rolex Datejust 126300 White Dial

One of the more understated watches in Cruise’s collection is the Rolex Datejust 126300, a 41mm stainless steel model with a white dial and Roman numerals. It’s a clean, classic choice that fits almost any occasion. On the dressier side, he also owns the Rolex 228239, a Day-Date 40 in white gold with a meteorite dial, a refined and rare configuration that quietly signals success.

Rolex Yacht-Master 226627

Rolex Yacht-Master Black Dial

Cruise wears the Rolex 226627, the first version of the Yacht-Master crafted in lightweight RLX titanium with a matte black dial and bezel. This black-on-black configuration gives the watch a sporty, tactical look that fits perfectly with his action-star image. It’s a favorite among other high-profile wearers like Roger Federer and Ben Ainslie.

Rolex GMT-Master II 126719BLRO “Pepsi

As an aviation enthusiast, it’s no surprise that Cruise wears the GMT-Master II 126719. This white gold “Rolex Pepsi” model with a midnight blue dial blends heritage and luxury, and is a clear nod to the brand’s legacy of pilot watches. It’s a connoisseur’s version of a fan favorite, and one that fits Cruise’s personal style.

Rolex Sky-Dweller 326934

The Rolex Sky-Dweller 326934 is another standout in Cruise’s lineup. Crafted in Oystersteel with a black dial, it’s one of the most technically advanced Rolex watches, featuring an annual calendar and dual time zone display. Cruise’s choice of this particular configuration reflects his preference for performance-driven luxury with a subtle edge.

Rolex Daytona 116500 and 126519

Rolex Daytona 116500

Cruise has been seen wearing both the Daytona 116500 and the Daytona 126519. The 116500 features a steel case, black ceramic bezel, and a white “panda” dial, making it one of the most in-demand modern Daytonas. The 126519, in contrast, is a white gold model with a meteorite dial on an Oysterflex rubber strap, adding a layer of sophistication to the sport chronograph.

Rolex Daytona 126506

Rolex Platinum Daytona 126506 Ice Blue

At the top of the list is the Rolex 126506 Daytona, a platinum chronograph with an ice-blue dial, brown ceramic bezel, and matching brown subdial rings. It’s one of the most coveted modern Daytonas and a clear sign of Cruise’s growing interest in serious collector pieces. This reference is also favored by notable figures such as Michael Jordan and Mark Wahlberg.

Thus far the Land-Dweller, Rolex’s newest release in 2025, has mostly been seen on the wrists of the brand’s “testimonees” like Roger Federer and Leonardo DiCaprio. Could this signify that Cruise is soon to join their ranks? We’d call it a solid indicator, and wouldn’t be at all surprised if there’s an announcement to that effect in the coming year, so stay tuned.
