The President Day-Date was launched into notoriety shortly after it was released in 1956 as the first automatically winding watch to include both the date and date apertures. Since that time, the luxurious design that accompanies every Day-Date has made it the watch of choice for powerful and influential men all over the world, including American Presidents. The style of this 6-digit reference 118238 has remained largely unchanged with the presence of an 18 karat yellow gold Presidential semi-circular link bracelet with concealed folding Crownclasp and matching fluted bezel. However, its functionality has been refined to include the addition of a double waterproof Twinlock winding down crown, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and an updated Swiss certified 3155 self-winding movement. The addition of a double Quickset function is especially appealing, allowing the wearer to adjust the Day and Date windows without winding the crown a full 24 hours. Opulent diamond hour markers adorn the black dial, creating a design that is sure to impress.
