Pre-owned Tudor Black Bay ref. 79000 (2025) is the "Lagoon Blue" variant of the series. The 54 platform was already the most vintage-forward of the modern Black Bays, inspired by the original 1954 Oyster Prince Submariner ref. 7922. That means compact proportions, a clean bezel, and no unnecessary text cluttering the dial. In 37mm, it wears the way early dive watches were meant to. Close to the wrist and perfectly balanced. The “Lagoon Blue” execution shifts the mood entirely. The sand-textured blue dial feels brighter and more playful than the standard black versions, almost like sunlight hitting shallow water. Paired with a mirror-polished bezel and the five-link bracelet, it gives the watch a slightly more refined, almost dressy aesthetic compared to the tool-forward Black Bays. Underneath that relaxed aesthetic is the manufacture caliber MT5400, with a 70-hour power reserve and chronometer precision.
