Vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bubbleback 3131

The ref. 3131 that you see here today is a rare and very fine edition of the older-model Oyster Perpetual that was produced some time in the late 1950s. Its feature set includes a stunning 14kt rose gold finish and an automatic movement. The Bubbleback was among the first timepieces to use a self-winding movement and is a highly prized collector's item. Due to its unique case shape, the ref. 3131 is also known as the Ovettone, which means Little Egg in Italian. In Hong Kong, it also goes by the intriguing nickname Little Coffin. This edition also features a versatile 32mm case size and a stunning silver dial adorned with matching rose gold Arabic markers and tapered hands.
