Vintage Rolex Air-King 5501 - Steel and Gold

The Rolex 5501 is the two-tone variant of the vintage Air-King. Developed in 1945, the Air-King is an ode to the brave pilots of the British Royal Air Force. It boasts a modest design that includes a simple, time-only dial as well as a 34mm Oyster case. The used Rolex that is presented here today utilizes stainless steel on the case and frames the dial with a striking yellow gold fluted bezel. The time is displayed via elegant yellow gold indices and hands, and the Rolex logo is prominently at the 12-hour marker. The case wears on a complimentary leather strap bracelet, allowing it to maintain an attractive price.
