One of the hottest watches on the market today is the Rolex Daytona reference 116500 LN. The watch debuted with white and black dials at Baselworld of March 2016 and demand for them remains years, reportedly 10+ years given current delivery rates at some Rolex retailers. Notably, the watch was the first Daytona in steel to feature a Cerachrom (a hard ceramic) bezel, giving the watches an aggressive look, but also giving the watch more durability as these bezels don’t fade and are extremely difficult to scratch.
The Daytona reference 116500LN with white dial has become slightly more desirable to the black dial, perhaps partially due to its resemblance to the vintage “Paul Newman” Daytonas like Paul Newman wore. This example is in “as new” and unworn condition with the incredibly attractive starting bid of $5,000.
The dial is white, with black sub dials and Daytona printed in red. The Chromalight luminous hour markers are outlined in white gold.
The case is 40mm in stainless steel.
This watch features a black monobloc Cerachrom bezel, which is engraved with a tachymetric scale.
The bracelet is a steel Oyster, with an Oysterlock clasp.
No protective stickers remain on watch, but it does have the bezel protector and is in “as new” condition. The watch is running and keeping time with a one-year service warranty included.
