Pre-owned Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph ref 26470ST.OO.A801CR.01 (2015) takes the original Royal Oak idea and pushes it in a much sportier direction. The Offshore line was introduced in the early ‘90s as a bigger, bolder take on Gérald Genta’s design. More size, more presence, and a clear shift toward a performance-driven aesthetic. The chronograph only adds to that feel. This example comes in a 42mm stainless steel case with the signature Offshore profile: thicker, more rugged, and meant to stand out. The dial features AP’s “Mega Tapisserie” pattern in an ivory tone, paired with brown subdials for a bit of contrast. It’s a warmer look than the typical black or blue Offshore, and it gives the watch a slightly different personality. Paired here with a black rubber strap, it wears comfortably despite its size.
