Pre-owned/unworn Breitling Chronomat B01 42 ref PB0134101C1S1 shows how far the Chronomat has come while still staying true to its roots. Originally launched in the mid-1980s as a bold statement in favor of mechanical chronographs, the Chronomat has always been Breitling’s do-everything sports watch. On the newer 42mm models, that attitude is still there, but it’s been refined. The case wears sleeker than earlier generations, and the iconic rider-tab bezel, once purely utilitarian, now feels more sculpted and intentional, especially here in platinum. This version pairs a stainless steel case with a platinum bezel and an icy blue dial that plays nicely with the light without feeling flashy. The rouleaux-style rubber strap echoes the classic bracelet design but wears lighter and more comfortably day to day. Inside is Breitling’s in-house caliber B01, a self-winding chronograph with a 70-hour power reserve. The result is a Chronomat that feels confident, modern and easy to wear.
