Pre-owned Breitling Chronomat B01 42 ref. UB0134101B1S1 (2024) is a modern interpretation of the Chronomat, a collection originally introduced in the 1980s and closely associated with Breitling's aviation heritage. The Chronomat helped reintroduce mechanical chronographs at a time when quartz watches dominated the market, becoming one of Breitling's most successful collections. This example features a 42mm stainless steel case with an 18k red gold rotating bezel, complete with the collection's signature rider tabs at the quarter-hour positions. The anthracite dial features contrasting black chronograph registers, creating a reverse panda configuration that gives the watch a sporty appearance. Applied hour markers and hands feature luminescent plots for legibility in low light, while a date window at 6 o'clock adds everyday practicality. A black rubber Rouleaux strap completes the design, featuring the distinctive cylindrical links associated with the Chronomat's traditional bracelet. Inside is the automatic Breitling Manufacture caliber 01, the brand's first in-house chronograph movement, introduced in 2009.
