Pre-owned/unworn Breitling Superocean Heritage B01 Chronograph 44 ref. AB0162121G1S1 (2021) takes inspiration from the original Superocean dive watches Breitling introduced in 1957. Rather than recreating those watches outright, the Heritage collection incorporates some of their most recognizable design codes into a thoroughly modern diver. The broad, triangular-shaped hands are a direct tribute to those early Superoceans, while the streamlined bezel does away with the busier markings found on many contemporary dive watches. Here, a polished ceramic insert gives the design a more refined finish while still functioning as a unidirectional timing bezel. The silver dial adds even more personality, featuring contrasting black chronograph registers in a classic tri-compax arrangement and a discreet date display. At 44mm, the stainless steel case has substantial wrist presence, while the mesh-style rubber strap gives the watch a sporty, maritime aesthetic without sacrificing everyday comfort.
