Unlike many dive watches of the era, the original Superocean was designed with an eye toward both performance and style, a philosophy that continues with this latest generation. This example features a 44mm stainless steel case with 18k red gold, a blue dial, and a matching blue ceramic bezel. Breitling also brings back the collection’s distinctive handset, with an arrow-shaped hour hand and spear-shaped minute hand, while a discreet date window sits at 6 o’clock. This model is paired with a blue mesh-style rubber strap, a modern interpretation of the metal mesh bracelets long associated with the Superocean Heritage. Most importantly, this generation debuted the manufacture caliber B31, Breitling’s first exclusive three-hand manufacture movement, featuring approximately 78 hours of power reserve.
