Pre-owned Cartier Panthère ref. 6692 is a classic example of the watch that helped define Cartier style during the 1980s and 1990s. Introduced in the 1980s, the Panthère was conceived as much as a piece of jewelry as a timepiece, with its wonderfully fluid bracelet becoming one of the collection’s defining features. This example has the iconic two-tone look, pairing a petite 22mm stainless steel case with a yellow gold bezel and matching steel and yellow gold bracelet. Despite its small size, there’s no mistaking it for anything but a Cartier. The ivory dial features bold black Roman numeral hour markers and slender blued steel hands, while the faceted winding crown is topped by the brand’s signature blue cabochon. The closely articulated bracelet drapes almost like jewelry around the wrist, which is a big part of the Panthère’s enduring appeal. Elegant without feeling overly formal, this vintage two-tone example is just as easy to wear today as it was when the Panthère first became a favorite decades ago.
